Diving and more at the Read Sea

Aqaba is the southern city in Jordan and the only city in the kingdom that lies on the seashore. It is therefore a popular destination for the Jordanians who come here to swim in warm months for almost a year. Additionally, Aqaba has a busy port and a point of entry to Saudi Arabia.

Diving in the Red Sea

The Red Sea is the most tropical sea in the northernmost of the world. Thanks to it, there are creatures that people would expect somewhere near Australia. It has about 1000 species of vertebrates and over 200 species of coral.

The most beautiful beaches and preserved corals are located south of the port of Aqaba, towards the border with Saudi Arabia.

The Red Sea is not only known for its relatively high temperature and therefore very pleasant tanning all year round, but also for its rich underwater life, which offers a variety of exotic fish and colorful corals.

The Red Sea is known all over the world as one of the absolutely best places to dive, the water is pleasantly warm and the visibility is amazing, more than 30 meters sight is not unusual. The aquatic life is diverse and numerous. Here you can be fortunate to see micro life, Nudie Branch, Sea Horses, Anemone fish, Turtles, Manta Rays and Whale sharks.

There are many things that make Aqaba the best place to go diving in the red sea. The red sea along the shores of Aqaba, south beach is as good as you find it anywhere in the Red Sea, there are put extensive efforts into coral preservation and restriction on fishing which helps to assure that divers will meet lots of fish, shellfish, octopus, turtles and everything you wish to see. Take advantage od Aqaba’s beaches and sea life

Because Aqaba is located on the Red Sea, there are great beaches to visit like the city’s public beach, which is on the south end of the city and easily accessible on foot.

If you do not want to dive into the water, you can spend an hour in a glass-bottomed boat enjoying the view. While in the boat, you can look down and see the coral that the Red Sea is famous for. You can also rent a jet ski or take a tour will even take you close to the Israeli border.

Another great tourist stop is Pharaoh Island, which is available to visit on Sundays. After a guided tour, you can enjoy snorkeling with colorful fishes in the crystal clear water.
